Hi!

I'm Allison and I live in beautiful SW Pennsylvania with my husband Chris, our son W (6 years), and our daughters V (5 years),  A (2.5 years), and M (1 year).

I grew up in the city, but we currently live on 1 acre and a bit that I try to homestead, much to my husband's consternation.

Along for this journey are our 2 cats, Ulysses and Poppy, one a shelter rescue and the other a stray.

We try to live as gently as we can, as simply as we can, as organically as we can and as consciously as we can.  There is a very small garden on our 'farm' and we grow a few veggies of our own.  This patch of dirt promises to grow larger every year as we move towards becoming as self sufficient as is possible in our circumstances.  We had chickens several years ago and I am waiting for one of the kids to develop an interest in 4-H so that I *ahem* I mean we can have them again.  One day there will be goats.

We are a homeschooling family that leans heavily towards Charlotte Mason, but with one foot planted firmly in Waldorf philosophy.

I also love to create, and can usually be found knitting or sewing something, usually for one of the kids.
